Exceptional and important TAPIS au point de la Savonnerie (C.N.A: compagnie nationale des artistes français aux Indes), circa 1965. High-quality silky wool velvet on cotton backing. Golden-yellow field decorated with a large sky-blue central medallion with a wreath of pastel-toned flowers inlaid with an open umbrella, typical of 18th-century Savonnerie rugs. Wide ivory main border with garlands of polychrome corded flowers and foliage. Remarkable quality and beautiful graphics. 400 x 300 cm. Good condition.
