Aubusson RUG, France, Late 19th century, Napoleon III period. Needlework, tapestry technique. Wool threads on cotton backing. Pinkish-beige field decorated with a large apple-green central medallion inlaid with a second wine-red and sky-blue ribboned medallion adorned with a polychrome floral bouquet. Four spandrels with multicolored floral sprays. Lined carpet. Beautifully fresh colors. 215 x 195 cm. Good overall condition.
