Large, original and fine Tabriz RUG, Northwest Iran circa 1985. High-quality silky wool velvet, silk-encrusted flowers, on silk foundations. Pale yellow field with original decoration of crenellated branchlets surrounded by polychrome flower sprigs, framing a peach-colored central medallion with a motif of flower compositions in the form of multicolored necklaces and bracelets. Four borders, the main one with rows of stylized floral bulb rings. 290 x 195 cm. Good overall condition. Beautiful finesse.
