Rare Ladik prayer rug, Central Anatolia, late 18th c. Wool velvet on wool foundation. Salmon-pink field decorated with a crenellated mirhab with stylized oil lamp surrounded by two teapots framing a row of mirhabs with three tulips. Four borders, the main one garnet-red, decorated with polychrome tulip seeds, fleur-de-lys and geometric floral bulbs.
