Exceptional fine silk Ghoum GALLERY CARPET, Iran, circa 1975 Shah era Silk velvet on silk foundation. Density approx. 10000 knots per dm2. Ivory field decorated with rows of finely drawn polychrome sprays of flowers and foliage framing a central medallion with a pearl-gray, pink, sky-blue, ruby and navy floral crown. Five fine borders, the main one ivory, with diamond-shaped floral buds. Size: 190 x 59 cm Good condition Note: Ghoum silk carpets in gallery form are not common.
