LARGE AND VERY FINE RUG, Isfahan in wool and silk (Iran) circa 1975. Wool velvet, flowers surrounded by silk, on silk foundations. Beautiful finesse. Prayer-shaped rug on a ruby field with crenellated mihrab, decorated with an oil lamp surrounded by birds and a finely drawn vase with bouquets of flowers. Wide border with motifs reminiscent of the central field. Dimensions: 245 x 157 cm.
