VERY IMPORTANT SILK Ghoum RUG, Iran, About 1975 Silk velvet on silk foundation. Golden-yellow field decorated with scrolls of polychrome flowering sprigs, adorned with a large midnight-blue rosette with a diamond-shaped floral crown. Four green-bronze spandrels. Seven borders, the main one midnight-blue, with decoration echoing the central rosette. Density : approx. 9/10,000 knots per dm2. Dimensions : 420 x 310 cm. Good condition.
