IMPORTANT AND FINE wool and silk Tabriz RUG, northwest Iran, circa 1985 Wool velvet, silk flowers on silk foundations. Remarkable finesse. Old rose field decorated with scrolls of palmettes of stylized flowers and foliage in polychrome, adorned with a central rosette with multicolored floral crown. Four spandrels with finely drawn floral bulbs. Wide midnight-blue main border with interlacing flowers and foliage. Dimensions: 320 x 220 cm.
