RUG, Important, fine and antique Isfahan (Iran) circa 1960/1965. Silky lambswool velvet on cotton backing. Ruby-red field decorated with polychrome scrolls and garlands of flowers framing a large central diamond-shaped marine floral medallion. Four spandrels echoing the central medallion. Five borders, the main one navy with interlacing fine crenellated stems and multicolored floral bulbs. Good condition. 350 x 236 cm
