Silky lambswool velvet on cotton foundation. Golden beige double-prayer field, adorned with a hanging oil lamp and a richly flowered vase, finely drawn. Four brick spandrels with floral bulbs. Ivory main border with interlacing fine crenellated stems adorned with a signature cartouche. Late 19th c. Dim : 198 x 128 cm. Oxidation and natural wear. Ordered for a high dignitary.
