Large Savonnerie-style knotted-stitch rug, 20th century. Large Savonnerie-style knotted-stitch rug, Wool velvet on cotton backing. Beige field with flower sprigs surrounding a very large crenellated central medallion in the shape of a gilded wood mirror, inlaid with a polychrome floral bouquet. Four reserved spandrels with decor reminiscent of the central medallion. 20th century. Size: 300 x 240 cm. (Good general condition)
