Lorenzo Marzo probably trained in the workshops of his uncle Francisco Marzo, himself a jeweler and goldsmith for the Spanish Court in the late 19th c. A few years after his uncle's death and the dissolution of his company, Lorenzo Marzo came to France and set up on his own at the very beginning of the 20th c. He worked on rue Saint Honoré, then went into partnership with Laillet as a jeweler from 1911 to 1921.
This somewhat forgotten jeweler of the Art Deco period also participated in the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, where he won a Grand Prix.
He is renowned for his meticulous, elegant workmanship.
