MENUS, Abel FAIVRE and a set of some thirty AUTOGRAPHS Set of MENUS including: - Abel FAIVRE. Menu for Le Plateau restaurant, playwrights' dinner, May 16, 1908, illustrated by Abel Faivre. Accompanied by two proofs before the letter. (Trace of fold.) - Air France Concorde menu June 5, 1975 for the Paris - Rio de Janeiro flight. - Compagnie Générale Transatlantique French Line Paquebot France: menu of December 24, 1965 and May 5, 1968, with passenger lists and various leaflets and advertisements. Attached is a set of some thirty signed AUTOGRAPHES addressed to Louis Barthou (French journalist and statesman 1862-1934), or Anthony Mars (playwright 1860-1915). There are letters from René Doumic, Emile Fabre, Eugène Brieux, Edmond Gondinet, Lucien Népoty, Adolphe Aderer, Lucie Paul-Margueritte... As well as a set of 3 long autograph letters signed by the man of letters Arnould Galopin (Marbeuf 1863-1934), addressed to Louis Barthou, concerning his distinction as Officier de la Légion d'Honneur and his request for the Croix de Guerre, which was refused (October-November 1921). Attached to this set is a bronze paperweight representing a dead sparrow, signed Paul COMOLERA.
