Important, very fine and antique Yomoud RUG, Bukhara, Turkmenistan. Wool velvet on wool foundation. Brick field decorated with rows of stylized diamond-shaped guhls, inlaid with hourglasses (symbolizing the passage of time) and stylized combs. Main border with hooks and geometrically stylized insects. Circa 1870. Size: 354 x 218 cm. (Good condition)
