Tapis sino-héréké en soie, Chine, vers 1975. Sino-Hereke silk carpet, China. Silk velvet on silk foundation. A beautiful polylobed ivory, cream, celadon and brick floral rosette is set on an ivory field with floral scrolls. Four scrolled spandrels and four arabesque excrescences frame the whole. Brick border with a series of ivory corollas on plant stems, flanked by two ivory counter-borders with garlands of florets. Lace highlights. Square and poetic. Circa 1975. Size: 160 x 151cm.
