Tapis Kachan, Iran, vers 1970. Kachan rug, Iran. Wool velvet on cotton backing. A cream-colored field hosts a delicate sky-polylobed floral medallion, framed by small bluish plant stems. Four arabesque corollas form the spandrels. The main cream border is interlaced with sky scrolls, framed by six counter-borders with sky, chestnut and ivory flower garlands. Circa 1970. Size: 327 x 245 cm.
