Important and magnificent Isfahan rug, Iran. Wool velvet on cotton backing. A cream field hosts a delicate honeycombed chestnut trellis, enriched with blossoming corollas and floral branches. Two darker-toned counter-borders, with garlands of flowers, frame the main cream border, with a suite of floral compositions. Beautiful pastel ensemble. Late 20th century. Dimensions: 315 x 235 cm.
