Important Savonnerie stitch carpet, France. In the taste of the 18th century. Wool velvet on cotton backing. Beige field decorated with a very large central medallion with a crown of polychrome stylized flowers and foliage, inlaid with a ribbon cross with multicolored floral buds. Four spandrels with baskets of polychrome floral bouquets. Framed border. Late 19th, early 20th century. Dimensions: 344 x 240 cm. (Good condition)
