Old and late Melayer, Persia. Late 19th, early 20th century. Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Midnight-blue field with original geometrically stylized floral bulbs surrounded by crenellated foliage and adorned with an original old-pink and bluish-gray central medallion in the shape of a stylized butterfly. Beige main border with stylized turtle shells. Dimensions: 185 x 127 cm (Slight natural oxidation (proof of age))
