Important Seikhour, Caucasus Late 19th century. Wool velvet on wool foundation. A large salmon-pink, ivory and brick-red Saint Andrew's cross is set on a navy blue background enriched with a parterre of flower scrolls and small multicolored stylized medallions, enriched with symbols such as geometric stylized animals. Main border with multiple multicolored crenellated lozenges between three counter-borders, two with multicolored flower scrolls and the larger outer one with stylized ivory and brick-red "eagle heads".
