Wool velvet on cotton backing.
An oblong navy field, covered with a delicate polychrome floral scroll pattern, supports a magnificent raspberry, navy and ivory vegetal medallion, star-shaped and poly-lobed, enriched with small multicolored circular petals.
Two symbolic oil lamps complete the decor.
Four mouse-gray crenellated spandrels and two pedestals frame the ensemble.
Two chestnut counter-borders with garlands of flowers enclose the main ivory border with a succession of corollas in majestic bloom, set against undulating polychrome stylized foliage.
Beautifully stately.
