Roger Capron, table basse herbier, vers 1970 - Lot 295
Roger Capron, table basse herbier, vers 1970
Roger CAPRON (1922-2006)
LOW TABLE, "Herbier" model, the top in ceramic tiles, some decorated with leaf imprints and some framed, glazed in red. Black lacquered metal structure.
Circa 1970.
38.5 x 114 x 41 cm.
The first "herbier" tiles were handmade with Vallauris clay and smoked. Some were glazed around the edges, like this model. The production of herbier tiles was later industrialized. This model is one of the first tables made by the Capron couple. We would like to thank Jacotte Capron for providing us with this information.
