Large and fine Nain, Iran In the tradition of Nain Habibian rugs. In wool and silk, quality lambswool velvet, flowers surrounded by silk on cotton foundations. Sky-blue field decorated with scrolls of polychrome floral palmettes framing a central beige and sky-blue floral medallion in the shape of an elongated diamond. Four multicolored floral wreath spandrels. Triple border, the main one ivory, with stylized wreath-shaped floral bulbs. Circa 1970/1975. Dimensions 270 x 160 cm. Fine finish, good overall condition.
