VESTE DE COSTUME ET GILET pour Martin Gore, Tour of the Universe, 2010
COSTUME JACKET AND GILET for Martin Gore Tour of the Universe, 2010. Lurex metallic look, leather, sequins and Lurex couture thread. Designed by Sara Freegard, inspired by "Cosmic Teddy Boys", The Rock'n'Roll Showman. Cut and made by Sir Tom Baker. Each costume offered has traces of its use on stage (wear, sweat, makeup) and, in addition to the guarantee of the creators and / or directors, testifies that it has been worn, unless otherwise stated. Tour of the Universe is associated with the album Sounds of the Universe released in 2009. Sara Freegard says that it was a first for Martin Gore to wear a custom-made jacket and vest, albeit Teddy Boy style. However, it was made in the Depeche Mode movement, that is to say dark and sexy. On stage the outfit was worn with silver crystal commando boots from Terry DeHavilland and bondage style skinny pants with zipper details. The suit offered for sale is a "backup suit": after the fittings, it was to be used as a backup in case the main suit was damaged on tour. Jacket and waistcoat Tour of the Universe, 2010. Designed by Sara Freegard. Design Inspiration - "Cosmic Teddy Boys" The Rock'n'Roll Showman. Tour of the Universe is associated with the album Sounds of the Universe released in 2009. Sara Freegard recounts that this was Martin Gore's first time wearing a fitted jacket and waistcoat even though in a Teddy Boy style. Even so, it was made with the Depeche Mode look, that is, dark and sexy. Made in metallic lurex, leather, glitter and Lurex thread. Cut and made by Sir Tom Baker. Skinny, bondage style trousers with zip detail. On stage the outfit was worn with silver crystal commando boots by Terry DeHavilland. This is a backup suit: after the fittings, it was probably used as a duplicate in case the main costume was damaged on tour. Each of the proposed outfits shows signs of its use on-stage (wear, sweat, make-up) and, on top of the creators' and/or makers' guarantee, show that it has been worn, unless otherwise specified.
