Reunion of TWO MEDALS in brass Reunion of TWO MEDALS in brass (also known as "Florentine bronze"): - Greeting medal decorated with faces, flowers and wings, featuring inscriptions from Henri d'OFTERDINGEN's novel "Novalis". Obverse: "BIENTÔT LE JARDIN DES HESPÉRIDES REFLEURIRA ET LES FRUITS D'OR PARFUMERONT LA BRISE / NOVALIS : " HENRI D'OFTERDINGEN"; reverse: "SOUHAITS ET DÉSIR SONT DES AILES - NOVALIS / VOEUX ROMANTIQUES. Signed "Jean MARCEL" (engraver) and dated 1979 on the edge. Diameter: 10 cm. - Medal signed Bernard TURLAN and dated 1983 on the edge. "May the new year be for you a source... gushing with joy". Diameter: 10 cm. This medal was designed by Pierre Dehaye, Director of the Monnaie de Paris, and produced by Bernard Turlin. Presented to François Mitterrand in 1983, a copy is kept at the Musée du Septennat in Château-Chinon.
